Pamela Rosenkranz is a Swiss-German artist whose installations, sculptures, videos and works-on-paper reveal a careful attention to the human body and its surroundings. The absence of the body in her work elicits a paradox at the core of her practice, one in which she attempts to escape the centrality of the human while also recognizing it as the source of corporeal and intellectual perception. In 2008, while she was still a student at Switzerland’s Hochschule der Künste Bern, Rosenkranz participated in both the 5th Berlin Biennale and Manifesta 7. She represented Switzerland at the Venice Biennale in 2015.
