QUEER JOY RESISTANCE
Lorand´s work is focused on disturbing social uniformity, monotony and stereotypes.
He found his way to uplift and empower individuals, especially the young, by creating objects that signalize an empowered identity, bold self esteem and sophistication of heteronormative gender roles. It´s the radiant glow of his objects that have a significant impact on the wearer and the surrounding, that change self perception and the reception of the wearer by the society. Lorand has teamed up with his best friend Franz Schmidt to create a collection of various pieces that are exhibited in this showroom and online. The audience is invited to try on these objects on themselves and directly purchase them - so they can become part of the movement. In the main performance the displays become alive and celebrate this state of unapologetic self love.
