Portrait of the class

In a time characterized by rapid technical and media changes in photography, the conceptual and artistic positioning of the photographing author is becoming increasingly important. Based on sound technical knowledge of analogue and digital photography, the class develops a program that enables students to use photography and its production and distribution methods as an instrument of artistic research and representation. The work on the image plays just as important a role as the interpretation of the image material in different media contexts and exhibition forms. "Thinking" one's own artistic work requires knowledge of the history of photography as an artistic and social practice. Imparting and developing this knowledge helps students to find ideas, classify them and talk about art.

For those interested in starting their studies in class in the winter semester, we recommend taking part in a portfolio consultation. Registration and further information from Hannah Dreyer: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
