Within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, you can also come to the AdBK Munich as an intern and, for example, do an internship in one of the workshops or with a professor.

The internship is not linked to partnership agreements (as is the case with study exchanges), i.e. you can also complete an internship at the Academy if your university is not a partner university of the AdBK Munich.

As a general rule, the maximum duration of an internship is 3 months. Internships at the AdBK Munich are unpaid. It is not possible to be enrolled at the AdBK Munich during an internship.

  • Enrollment at a university in an Erasmus program country at the time of application.
Erasmus program countries are (in 2022):
    - Member states of the EU (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and their overseas territories such as La Reunion, etc.).
    - Countries of the EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)
    - Turkey
    - Northern Macedonia
    - Serbia
  • Internship confirmation of a member of the academic staff / workshop leader / professor.

Look for a possible supervisor at AdBK on your own. An overview of the workshops can be found here, a list of class professors here. Discuss the scope, duration and period of the internship with your supervisor.
After your supervisor has approved your internship, you will receive a Learning Agreement for Traineeship from your home university. This learning agreement must be signed by your home university, by you and by the internship supervisor.

Afterwards, please contact the International Office (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The International Office will also help you with questions regarding visas and accommodation in Munich.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient insurance coverage during your stay at the Academy. Please check with your insurance company well in advance. Alternatively, it is possible to take out a discounted group insurance policy, e.g. through the DAAD, for the duration of an internship in Germany. More information here.
